Dental Innovation Sympoisum 2019

Thinking differently about dentistry

The Dental Innovation Symposium is THE event for practices open to thinking differently about how to drive business forward and meet patients’ needs. Read on for a sneak-peek at some of the exciting features in store.

The two-day, all-new Dental Innovation Symposium, which takes place on 7th – 8th June in London, is the latest event to be added to the 2019 dentistry calendar. Combining all the very best aspects of Henry Schein’s Digital Symposium and the Good to Great event, this exciting symposium brings together some of dentistry’s leading experts in the area of practice performance with key opinion leaders from the world of digital and clinical dentistry.

Featuring informative, thought-provoking presentations and breakout sessions, the Dental Innovation Symposium will cover a wide range of topics including digital dentistry, practice performance, teamwork, implantology, orthodontics, lasers, marketing and finance, making it one of the most comprehensive dental events this year.

Primescan Intraoral Scanner

Primescan – taking scanning technology to a new level

One of the stars of the Dental Innovation Symposium will undoubtedly be Primescan, the exciting brand-new intraoral scanner from Dentsply Sirona. Officially launched earlier this year, Primescan is taking the digital workflow to a new level, with its excellent speed, accuracy, and ease of use. Delegates at the Symposium will be amongst the first in the UK to see Primescan in action.

Past President of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and President of the Digital Dentistry Society UK, Dr Julian Caplan, will use his breakout session on day two of the Symposium, to discuss the science behind Primescan’s incredible new technology. He will compare it with conventional scanning technologies and highlight the huge benefits it brings to a range of clinical situations.

To complement Dr Caplan’s session, cosmetic and implant dentist, Dr Simon Chard, owner of Rothley Lodge Dental, will present an aesthetic case completed using Primescan, demonstrating how to achieve predictable and aesthetic restorations in the anterior zone in a single visit.

In addition to implants, there will also be clinical presentations on orthodontics and bone grafting showing how the digital workflow is becoming a major driver for clinical success and more efficient business practices in these disciplines.

What digital dentistry means for businesses

The Dental Innovation Symposium will deliver an overall perspective on dentistry and by presenting both clinical and business-related topics side by side, acknowledging that the need for dentists to meet patient demands is now greater than ever before. A presentation by Sinead McEnhill will address this topic head on, as she discusses her own experience in introducing a digital workflow and how this strategy has helped engage her team and increase return on investment for her practice.

Meet the manufacturing experts

The Dental Innovation Symposium will bring together the leading manufacturers and suppliers in the digital dental arena, led by headline sponsor Dentsply Sirona, who will be joined by more than 20 exhibitors including 3Shape, Formlabs, and Ivoclar Vivadent as well as the Henry Schein companies BioHorizons, MediEstates and Software of Excellence, providing ample opportunity for delegates to discuss in detail their clinical, digital and business ambitions. The exclusive exhibition area will showcase the latest and most innovative solutions from dentistry’s leading manufacturers and service providers.

As dentistry becomes increasingly competitive for dental professionals, the need to differentiate in the minds of patients is critical. By utilising new technology, dentists can create a smoother, more efficient workflow, provide better clinical outcomes for patients and boost practice performance. The Dental Innovation Symposium delves deeper into all these areas and provide practical advice and tools to help practices grow. So come and join us in June for the newest exciting event in dentistry!
